Perelada, one of the most prestigious and highly regarded wine and cava producers in Catalonia, has been featured in The Drinks Business for its innovative approach to sustainability and winemaking after winning the Renewable Energy Implementation Award at The Drinks Business Green Awards 2024.

Demonstrating their commitment to making a positive impact, Perelada invested in a significant development project, building a new winery in Penedès capital of Vilafranca. The state-of-the-art winery employs geothermal energy, natural light, and 100% certified renewable energy. Additionally, Perelada's water management system has achieved a remarkable 75.75% reduction in potable water usage. This project has earned Perelada the prestigious LEED® Gold certification, making it the first European winery to achieve this recognition.
