Terres Fidèles celebrated in the inaugural Roussillon "Coup de Coeur" competition

We're thrilled to announce that our Terres Fidèles, AOP Organic Côtes du Roussillon Villages 2021, has been awarded a coveted spot in the inaugural Roussillon "Coup de Coeur" competition 2024!

This exciting new competition, judged by a panel of esteemed, expert UK wine writers, aims to highlight the best Roussillon wines readily available in the UK market. Blind tasting nearly 100 entries, the judges awarded Terres Fidèles a score of 18 points or above, securing its place among the elite "Coup de Coeur" selections.

A Wine Born of Wild Places

Terres Fidèles embodies the spirit of its wild Roussillon terroir. The grapes for this winning wine are sourced from spectacular mountain vineyards, some reaching up to 280 metres in altitude. This is truly "heroic viticulture", with old bush vines, 40-80 years old, perched on steep rolling sites at the base of the cliffs on the northern edge of the Agly Valley, near Queribus, on classic schist and gres (sandy) schist soils.

Organic viticulture and minimal intervention are the hallmarks of Terres Fidèles winemaking. Grapes are hand-harvested a touch earlier than is typical for the region, then undergo wild fermentation and ageing in small concrete vats. This allows the unique character of the grapes and the terroir to shine through, resulting in a truly authentic expression of Roussillon.

A Blend of Power and Finesse

The "Coup de Coeur" winning Terres Fidèles is a blend of Grenache and Carignan. Grenache contributes rich, dark fruit flavours and a powerful structure, while Carignan adds a touch of freshness and bright acidity. The wine's beautiful balance of power and elegance makes it a truly singular experience.
